Has anyone run into a problem from either the buyer, shipper, or receiver in shipping a firearm. I have a guy who wants a gun I have, but his FFL is not taking any shipments right now. Maybe a dumb question, but is there a way to 'sanitize' an incoming shipment that would be safe for a nice gun?

I'm sure you could wipe it down with a disenfected wipe and then a silcon rag, but that does help if he's worried about all the hands touching the box during travel

NO. Talked to FFL. He ain't budging. Unfortunately he is the only FFL within a reasonable distance from the buyer

Just found out the virus can live for up to six days on a surface ,
Soooo when you think about it ,fist bumps , elbow touch, your mail ,
Gas pumps ,groceries ,clothing, all surfaces everywhere.
So no Level of care is going to make a difference , the thing spreads so quickly it’s coming to a place near you fast .
Imho, the only way to stop it is the development
of a effective vaccine.

I respect being prudent, but refusing a shipment via common carrier seems a bit extreme.
