Anyone have a recommendation on a shot beeper/timer thing? Slowly building and would like to actually have the ability to time myself and run real drills. Thank you and happy fall.

Second for ^^^^^^^
I bought one for work. Cheaper than the blue one cause it isn't Bluetooth. I don't care what I did except on the spot. It holds the splits and is downloadable with a cord if you need to keep the info.

You can get the pocket pro or PACT timer straight off Amazon, if that influences your decision.

So I REALLY got into the shot timer thing during Covid and the preceding years and ended up with a few of them.

1. Competition Electronics Pro Timer BT
2. Kestrel KST1000
3. Shooters Global Smart Shot Timer 2
4. AMG Lab Commander
5. PACT Club Timer III

There are a ton of pros and cons to each of them, but at the end of the day I always reach for my SG Smart Shot if it’s live fire and my Kestrel if it’s dry fire.

If the kestrel was smaller I would use it for everything, it’s just bulky in comparison to the SG.

If you just want a timer that does everything OK then the pro timer is fine.

If you don’t mind waiting on getting it (mine took 11 months on back order) the AMG is great for keeping tons of data and having a bunch of shooters and being able to look back multiple runs.

If you want to talk about any of them, message me and I can walk you through any of them.

I'm another CE Pro Timer user. I like it quite a bit more than my PACT Club Timer. The Kestrel and Shooters Global are notable steps up in features and quality, but also price. If my Pro Timer ever kicks the bucket, I will probably jump ship, but until then the Pro Timer is meeting my needs quite sufficiently.

I preordered one of Alex's AMG Commander's in 2018 when it was first released. Still have it, works great.

I sent it back to Alex for a check up, since it was one of his first batch. He upgraded the firmware and sent it back to me, along with a cool silicone red cover, free of charge.

One of the most useful features for me is that it picks up the audible "click" of a striker falling; I use that feature quite a bit in dry practice.
