Thanks to a wonderful forum member, I attended staccato range day. I will say this - the hype is real. Having sold my c2 recently, I had decided I likely wasn’t going to carry a staccato any longer. I also figured the YouTube reviewers were doing what they do lmao. However…it’s good. It’s very good. After one mag I was hooked. I think I shot 6 mags, enjoying each one more than the previous. I owned 3 staccatos at one point, none had the tac grip. I think that was a big part of it. But I spoke to some of the staccato people and they said it’s also the new recoil system. Whatever it is, it works. They said it should start shipping next week. So, I guess I’ll be back to carrying a 2011 soon. Oh! Another great part - the hat bar. Pick a patch and hat, and they make it on the spot. What a fun day!

I wonder if they’ll even release one? I guess it would be what, $200 less?

Def is!
Very cool! I do like the tac grip much better - my last C was in the tac grip and it was worth the upgrade over the grip. Now you’ve got me wanting to go shoot one!!

Yeah the grip is great. I will for sure get one.
Is the grip actually the same height as the C2?
Yeah it’s close just a bit thinner and raider to get a good purchase on.
Definitely plan on getting one of these…just wondering if they are going to offer it with a black DLC barrel?
Didn't realize the grip size was that close. My interest level just went up a little. Photo below was borrowed from the site linked below, although it does mention that the info may be slightly off.

yeah I believe theres a note that the grip width is 1.2, which is closer to a sig macro. but yes, its really nice
Looks like the CS is a smidgen shorter because the C2 isn't being measured with the magazine inserted.
Guy had one last night at the match looked awesome I guess he is awaiting some mags but he shot great no failures etc

my c2 is greatly reduced from the stipple job, I think the difference is negligible (19+1 mag in)

They will be offering it just not initially.

Now, what Staccato needs to do is produce a Staccato CCO. Take the new CS grip and put the C2 slide/barrel on top. Slimmer, shorter grip, same number of rounds, and potentially better accuracy from a longer barrel and sight radius. If I had tons of money, I'd buy one of each of a CS and C2 and make my own.

As far as an irons only version, I'd be in for that too. But everyone is so ga-ga over red dots these days, that's it's easy to see Staccato offering only one version and being able to charge more for each pistol.
