Problem solved, you won’t regret it.
Could you describe the mod you did to the failsafe rod? Thanks.
Dumped the plastic bulky wingnut construnus and replaced with a metal washer, lock nut with nylon insert and a metal wingnut. It doesn't lose tension like the OEM did.
Expect a 4-6 week wait. And when you get your 750, check the plastic bag it comes in. You may find a part floating free inside it.
While you are waiting, get yourself an LED light from Amazon for it. You can thank me later.
Already have the led from inline fabrication. At least if the 550b light fits the 750?
A lot of valuable information in this thread for 550 owners, thanks!
Check Double Alpha, I do all my Dillon ordering with them, 2 days to my door. 750's in stock. Great folks and products too.
I have ordered some brass primer magazine tube tips just because I have had to replace the plastic ones on my 550 before. I am checking out other upgrades. Including some of the ones posted here.
I talked to Dillon today and they said for one setup in 45 would be 3 weeks. That's not bad, but I have ordered from Scheels in the past and gotten good service and they show them in stock, so I ordered from them and canceled the dillon order. Based off recent orders I should have it by monday at the latest.
I guess I'm spoiled Dillon Precision is about 1hr 15 minutes from my house. They are a great bunch of guys.
Oh they are absolutely great. The guy I spoke with was awesome, even checked my order when he saw I somehow picked 45 autorim instead of 45 ACP. He actually thought it was a good idea to switch as I would get mine sooner from one that is already available and it would shorten the backup for someone behind me.
I go down there with parts to replace, their no B.S. warranty is for real. I'll leave with a bag full of replacement parts for free.
Don't think so. The 750 is bigger due to the 5th station, and the lites are custom-made for each size press.
Well the press showed up today. I won't get to mess with it till Sunday but it's here.
I bought the powder checker for mine. It lets me concentrate on making sure primers get seated and there is brass in the tube.
I did not get the brass drum thingie due to Federal's really stupid decision to use small primers in their .45ACP brass.
Congrats. That was mighty fast !!
Fun times ahead.
I've got a 750 and love it. Might have to move the coax to a different bench to make room for another so I dont have to swap between lpp and spp. Or just trade for spp .45 brass when the current primer situation levels out. Congrats OP, the 750 is a great press.
I vote for a 2nd 750, best way to run IMO- I love my 2 650’s & coax set up

Letting the OP drool.
You are a man of much reloading!
