Hello,
My LB 1911 doesn’t rattle. You can shake it as hard as you can and it doesn’t rattle. HOWEVER, the grip safety can be moved left and right with noticeable wobble (again, only when you move it side to side). Functionally, I know everything is fine but I thought LBs as other semi customs were tight tight. Should the grip safety be tight tight also?

The only way to get a gapless, perfect fit like Loobie does,
is to first eliminate the side to side play.
This will usually require weld, braze etc to build up the grip safety interface.
Most quality frames have a gap between the tangs of .312" to .316".
Most grip safeties have a center web of .303" to .308".
I press fit two 'buttons' into the grip safety, then machine to fit the particular frame.
Time consuming.
I received a Stan Chen grip safety the other day.
Web thickness of .310" or so!!!!!
Good job once again Mr. Chen!!!!

I've never thought to check grip safety side to side movement on any of my 1911s, only that they function properly. You might be overthinking it a little.
