I thought the Sig Nightmare Carry in 357 Sig was discontinued. I found this one online and picked it up this weekend. It's dated June of 2020. Guess Sig found some parts layin around and slapped a few of these together. I cant wait to get a chance to shoot it. 20200802_191601.jpg

I almost traded a Kimber for one of these once and the dude seemed kind of sketch so I left it alone.

Let us know how it performs at the range. I have a strong interest in a 357 Sig 1911. There’s another model Sig 1911 in 357 that Bass Pro is selling as are some GB listings.

When the news of these first came out, I wanted one real bad. Had my name on a couple local lists, but it never materialized and my desire for yet another caliber went away.

Still a nice piece, hope you have great luck with it

Badass! I, too, have a need for one of these.

I've got one of these in 45 and really like it. Never shot 357 Sig out of a 1911 before. I bet that would be fun!

    That looks fun.
    btw
I don’t see any 1911 on Sig’s website that is currently chambered in 9mm.

I found this pre owned full size Nightmare earlier this year at LGS and snapped it up.

How do you like it in terms of function & accuracy?

I've only had time to put 50 rounds through mine. I love it. One magazine functioned flawlessly, the other not so much. I haven't had a chance to contact Sig yet, but I am optimistic they will make it right. I just received 2 mecgar mags that I intend to try as well. More to come later.

I had one when they first came out. It was very well made, never malfunctioned, and the trigger was good. My gripes were the nitron finish was not durable, and the notch in the rear sight was too narrow for the width of the front sight.

    I've always wanted a 1911 in .357 Sig. I very nearly built one from a Springfield .40 S&W I once owned.

Had a chance for the first time to shoot my full size 357 sig Nightmare. I put 100 rounds through it and I found that it is very very accurate. Right out of the box it was really shooting well. It's well balanced and the trigger is lite.

Now for the bad news, the magazines are rubbish. One of them work fine but the other was so tight every time I tried to used it, the first round would not feed and would get struck, so i had to push it out through the gun. It worked fine with 6 rounds loaded but that is unacceptable. I plan to contact Sig at some point to see if they will send me a new one or maybe anew spring. Very frustrating with a new gun.

BTW, my DW Pointman has never (700 rounds) had a single issue.

Looking forward to shooting the Sig more but it won't unseat my DW as favorite 1911.

I have the same issue with my Sig TacOps 10mm mags. Super tight. Hoping they just need to be broken in some. First round on a loaded mag will sometimes jam.
