I love my Colts and I've been through many brands and configurations of the 1911 and sold them as many of us have, but this 1911 is awesome and its a usual range and carry pistol. I bought this used and the previous owner blacked out the controls and put different grips on the pistol. I'm going to leave it as is for now. This is the only 1911 that I have disassembled, just to have that experience.

The overtravel screw kept moving on its own when shooting and the trigger would lock up. I put lock-tight on it for now and 500 rounds later its still holding up. I may replace the trigger and find a good holster. 09i876.jpg 65t78.jpg 8ui3w8u38.jpg

I have a full frame Sig 1911 that I sent to Sig for trigger work (just because). I am quite fond of it!

    I love the Nightmares.
I had a Stainless Carry 4.25" Sig that was one of the best 1911s I've ever owned. My cousin owns it now and shoots the crap out of it.

Not sure why you would call a good 1911 a "Nightmare"?

I think the "nightmare" is for those observing the business end...
