Sure, tap out the the roll pins and tap off the gas block and sight combo. Your gonna need to either modify the A2 sight block, or just do what I did to my MP and install a low profile gas block and tube when I installed a BCM 15"Full rail. Or you can order a co-wittness mount but it maybe a little to high for your liking, I've since took off the Trijicon MRO and I'm going to mount an Amepoit Pro.

Can the sight on the end of these barrels be removed if a Red Dot or Scope is intended for use?

sorry, forgot to add the link
A few things to keep in mind.....
One can’t simply tap the pins out. They are a taper pin, they only come out one direction. They can often be a biOtch to remove.

Once they are removed, a low profile gas block can be installed. I would highly recommend an adjustable gas block be used, if you chose to remove the front sight base (FSB).

You can also simply leave the FSB installed. A red dot can be co witnessed and a scope over 3x will simply blur out the FSB and it will not be visible.
