I want to get some sights I can see for Christmas. I am going to find a good smith to do sight cuts in my slide, but I kind of want to attempt to fit them myself. Is this something I should tackle myself, or should a novice just get a smith to do this? I will probably just get the front cut and push a 10-8 or John Harrison rear sight in. I want to learn how to do these things, and it doesn't help that it saves money. So what say you?

hahaha it was too. I am thinking sights, or a mag pouch and a wilson combat spare mag (since I lost my GI mag, which sucks) since i probably won't use my sights in a SD situation.
