This is the 2002 Thunder Ranch Special I recently picked up. Due to the diminishing glow of the sights I decided it was time to make some changes. I posted about Baer replacing the front with their fiber and today I installed the plain 10-8 rear. Gives me a greatly improved sight picture both when going for speed as well as accuracy.

Now I do believe I'm finished making changes to it and will enjoy range time much more.

Great choice! I need to do the same to mine!

As I getting a bit older, I find a fiber optic front much more useful

I turn 62 in a few weeks and the first gun I had with a fiber front sight was my SA RO Elite Compact .45. Really liked it, don't enjoy lightweight .45s but the sight impressed me. Now I have it on two (9mm RO Elite Compact I got yesterday).

Taking the Baer and SA to the range later today, looking forward to fun times and I really like being able to focus on the front sight much easier now.

I'll add Baer's design really protects the tube well while still allowing plenty of light to illuminate it.
