After a range trip, field stripped and cleaned the pistol. Upon function check, the slide would hang up to the rear when ridden slowly. When trigger is pressed to rear, no problem.

Zero issues prior to this, possible I never noticed thumbing it before hand as well.

This is a new to me pistol. Yes, I know I should have changed the recoil spring before sending hundreds of rounds down the tube.. Could that be the issue? Problem with disconnect?

There is also some finish wear on the full length guide down on one side length wise.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Never encountered this problem with DW, sig or kimbers.

Disconnector seems to depress easily and pops back up as well.

What is the best remedy for a troublesome disconnector?

Swapped out the spring for a 12 lb one and replaced the firing pin spring as well to boot. I know sti recommends a 10 lb, but all I had on hand was the 12 lb.

No more slide hang up, just some resistance when hitting the disconnect.

Have some 10 lb springs on order, but will probably run some rounds down the pipe at the range and am hopeful.
