I tried the search function, but I'm still not proficient on this site.

Can 1911s be ordered with totally vertical slide serrations, like on Colts? I don't see it on the order list, but is that something that a company like Les Baer, Alchemy or others offer?

Come to think of it, from what I've seen, Colts and actual military 1911s have vertical, and everything else I see has the forward cant.

If this has been answered 1000 times, please point me in the right direction.

Depends on the shop/builder. Obviously if you have them use a Colt base it doesn’t matter. I currently have 5 builds in the pipeline, ALL 5 have vertical RCS. Then again, 3 of the 5 are Colt bases

It sounds like it’s getting harder and harder to find them as a standard option - but I think the bottom line is you can get whatever you’re willing to pay for!!

Nighthawk, Baer and Alchemy have been a NO up to this point. Guncrafter will do them and Wilson has done some. I'm assuming you were asking about "semi custom" builders. You can always go find a colt base gun and send to your Gunsmith of choice, which is my pick as the best choice. Evolution builds on slides and frames that I bet he can get in bare form.

I prefer the aesthetics of vertical. Now I have a better frame of reference going forward. And that's probably starting with Colt.
