This was the first thing I did to mine. I don't understand why manufactures don't do this from the get go.

And I must say it was a post of yours that showed me this. Well worth the time spent.

I did not know that. That Guncrafter is interesting with the groove running out.
The Groove is there to help eliminate the SS from bouncing up, during recoil, and peening the slide's SS notch.

Irs going to be interesting to note just how long it takes the folks at colt to incorporate this idea.

As to who 'invented' it, the needful soul who picked up a rock and called it a 'hammer' would, most likely, be a distant relative of log man.

You'll need to do it yourself. Never seen a new Baer with it and probably never will from his factory. I've filed three stops that were tight on 3 different guns and it works like a champ........

I don't think it's that rare anymore. It is a nice touch, and really should just be spec'ed into the part by now.
