Looks like my first revolver. I was about 18 and shot it for 5-6 years before giving it to my sister. She wanted to buy her husband a handgun and had a small budget. We used her money to have it reblued and inspected by a local smith. Favorite brother in law still has it, 30 + years later.
The gentleman I bought it off of told me it was a 1964 model. I'm not really up on the Smith and Wesson models I just got started collecting them. I found some books I'm going to order and read up on them. The one that got me started on these was that mod.29 44 mag. non fluted cylinder that I got from Karl Being and the custom Clark PPC in 38special that I bought from him also. Then I bought a 25-2 w/6 1/2" Bbl. 45acp off another forum I belong to and it has never been fired from what I can tell. Then I got the 10-5 38special.
