Hurst, a contemporary to Fuzzy Farrant, Guy Hogue, and Walter Stark made some of the most ergonomically pleasing grips available. These men's ability to carve wood and checker it neatly, even around compound curves is an art. This set with it's open back, pronounced palm swell and base flare appear to be later Hurst's. This No Dash 686 was mfg in 1983, towards the end of Hurst's time at LAPD. The gun remains in good shape, been shot, but not to death, shined up nice with the ren wax and rag after a cleaning. Timing and lockup are spot on, front sight wears a orangish/yellow insert that 'pops' nicely.
