Got up this morning and the ground is all white. For the second time this year. Yuck.

And then by the end of next week we're back in the mid sixties. Crazy high-desert living... :shifty:

Actually it's good, but really odd. The deserts of the southwest rarely get rain and we're always short of water, so when snow occurs it's remarked upon cause it's rarely cold enough on the flat for it to appear. When it rains out here everyone removes their clothing and starts dancing around the lemon tree out back. So anything that contains moisture is revered.
Higher elevations usually do catch the snow, but uncommon on the flats

I don't think we're complaining, stay safe and keep warm!

Used to get snow as late as May when we lived in CO. And I don't miss it at all. ;)

I'm at 5000', with the local peaks (Carr and Miller) right at or just over 9000'. I enjoy our summer rains as they are not near as violent as the 'monsoons' that plague Tucson, nor are we as hot as they are because of our altitude.

All in all, a good compromise. I just wish it'd warm up a bit so I can get back out in my shop. :)

Happy snow fall folks! We’ve got plenty here in central Illinois and I guess more on the way. Scaramouche is right though, water is everything in his yard. All I know is I have no influence with the big weather man upstairs so I’m just gonna keep grinding. Be safe and enjoy the views!

Our snow, only eight or nine inches, is washing away in the rain. Now we're back to normal.
