I need to make room (loose some Safe Queen dead wood) and raise some $ for my 50th birthday present to myself – a 1970 COLT 1911 custom by Ted Yost/Estate Sporting Limited. This will be my first Ted!

This AR upper is an amazingly light & super accurate/flat shooting:
- A few years back, ZEV bought “Mega Machining" and has been producing low volume ultra high quality custom AR’s ever since.
- ZEV Billet Upper receivers are precision-machined from 7075-T651 aluminum for strength and light weight, finished in true black melonite
- Proof Research match grade 16” carbon fiber barrel chambered in .223 Wylde with a 1:8 twist and mid-length gas system - sub-MOA accuracy with high quality factory ammunition. Barrel alone costs $900
- ZEV Wedge Lock hand guard provides a full length continuous top rail with M-LOK mounting system for maximum user customization and control, integrated anti-rotation pin ensures a consistent and continuous top-rail with the upper receiver.
- Low profile adjustable gas block from Superlative Arms allows the end-user to fine tune the gas flow of the rifle to match their load and set-up.
- Neutrally timed SureFire Warcomp muzzle brake finished the package and greatly reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise to keep you on target for fast follow up shots.
- I NP3’d the BCG and added Geissele Airborne ambi Charging Handle
- I felt guilty as this upper sat unused for a year now, in a safe full of AR build from Radian, Knights Armament, Triarc Systems, Noveske, COLT, and BCM
