Just wanted to share my 95 .40 Hi Power. I just got the Heinie sights installed by Fletcher Custom LLC here in Va. I was quoted 6mo to a year and upwards of $245 to have the sights installed by several other very reputable smithing services. This does not include the sights and refinishing.

It took him 5 days from receipt of the slide, shipped back to my house for $124.00! he answered all my e mails within 24 hours, very impressed to say the least.

Fletcher Customs does great work! Looks fantastic. What sights were on the gun originally? Is the finish original?

This one had the Adjustable, high mounted Browning sights when I bought the gun. I forgot the proper name for this version equipped with adjustable sights, Pachymer grips, gold trigger. I swapped out those and added MKIII sights, C&S hammer, trigger and inset Browning Medallions in Hogue grips and of course now the Heinie sights. This was my carry piece for a while back in 2004~2005. The finish is factory Hard Chrome and I still have all the original parts but cant go back now as far as the sights. It ended up being the Hi Power I always envisioned and wanted. I do also have a few surplus MK II and MK III's but this is my favorite.

Very nice, very clean looking. I have a Gunsite BHP .40 and love it. It is my preferred carry gun, even over any of my 1911s. Hold onto yours, as Browning quit making them (for now).

Do you plan to change that left safety to something more capable?

I’ve got these three and a fresh MK IV .40 in a box waiting for a .357 Sig build later this year.

I was just informed by my old patrol partner that he was sending me his BHP as a gift. He got it 20 years ago from his old supervisor, friend and mentor that was a Bay Area Police Department Patrol Sergeant and a Supervising ATF Agent. I've had 2 BHP and sold them both (big error). Sorry, I posted this info in another thread here so if you read it twice..... Sorry!
