Springfield Armory Warranty Work

The slide on my SA Garrison 9mm would hang up on the disconnector (would stop at the breech face) if gently eased forward from lock back. It functioned perfectly when firing but I knew this situation needed attention. Being a brand new pistol, I contacted SA and was promptly given return authorization and Fedex mailing label. After one day short of 4 weeks with them, it was shipped back to me today. The email notification contained the list of work performed as shown below. I hope the problem is fixed. I'll update this post with results once received, if there is any interest.

Looks like they found an issue with the slide stop. If you ease the slide down reeaally slow it can happen, from the work order it should be good. Shouldn't have had to polish the slide but it may have been a Monday build after a Sunday football drunkfest... just messing with you but poop does happen. Come back with the results.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't experience any issues with the slide stop, but whatever they saw, I'm glad they addressed it. The disconnector did leave a light mark along the bottom of the slide, so I guess that's what they polished out & replaced the disconnector. The pistol is a great shooter and surprisingly accurate. I'm betting it'll be good to go, but we'll see.
I had to send my 9mm Garrison in for fitting issues Springfield took it to the next level and worked on the barrel and extractor. Runs great now . Most people are happy with their customer service.

My experience with Springfield customer service was great. SA-35 had some issues and it was back and fixed in just over a week.

I don't think they found anything with the slide stop; it looks like a pre-printed/pre-filled-out invoice form. If you notice in the columns to the right, the Qty Ordered, Qty Shipped columns are 0. The only columns where it's not zero, are for the disconnector, the box, the mag, and a ziplock bag.

It's not a pre-printed form, that's silly. No qty in shipped because how does one ship the labor from a tune, polish or adjust? They replaced the disconnector, returned my box, zip bag, mag and pistol...qty one each.

Do you know what a document template is? That's pretty clearly what they used. Hey, I could be wrong.

^^^ I don't know why you even bothered to post here, but whatever ...wtf? ^^^
😂 that just made a boring day better
So, I received my Garrison back from SA this afternoon. The slide movement is smooth as butter and although I haven't measured it, the trigger pull feels lighter than before. I also noticed that the slide stop is easier to install than before. I didn't think to mention it but it was incredibly hard to get in...I guess they noticed it too. Not sure what they did (doesn't have 'the cut') but it went back together more easily than before. The pistol was absolutely drenched in oil...even the recoil spring guide was dripping. I'm glad it's back and am looking forward to a range trip.
I agree their customer service is very good. My issue is their QC. I have had issues with 66% on their firearms I purchased.
