I'm wanting to try a small radius FPS in my EMP to see if it changes the recoil impulse of the firearm. I'm pretty sure the EMP uses a proprietary FPS, but I'm not sure what's different about it, how much work it would take to put in a typical 1911 part.

Anyone lay these out side by side or know what the difference is?

As an aside, anyone know the stock main spring weight of an EMP?

Here are the 15 re-engineered parts in the EMP:
    slide
    frame
    left grip panel
    right grip panel
    firing pin
    firing pin spring
    extractor
    plunger tube
    plunger spring
    trigger
    magazine tube
    magazine follower
    magazine spring
    magazine base plate
    magazine base pad

So the EGW FPS will work with some filing to fit. It's the FPS that I exclusively use in my 1911s.

Awesome, thank you. I looked up that list and saw FPS on it...

    ...firing pin spring. :)

    Time to experiment!

    Haraise,

Please keep us posted on how well this works out for you, including any changes to the mainspring that you make.
