A few months ago, I sent my Springfield back to their custom shop for some work so it would fit my hand better, with sights that are easier for me to use. This pistol is now my daily carry. Here is what was included in the work order:

    1. High-cut the front strap.
    2. Install an Ed Brown ambi safety.
    3. Install a Harrison Design short trigger.
    4. Install a Harrison Design plain fixed rear sight.
    5. Install a gold bead front sight.
    6. Refinish in matte black IonBond.

It took me awhile to get a realistic photo of the matte IonBond.

Yesterday my kids showed me how to use a digital camera, store the images on my computer, and attach them to a forum thread. They said it was like teaching a caveman to drive a car.

SirGuy: I get a measurement of .125" for the rear sight notch.
