I've had a squib and wondered since then how anyone could fire again after it. It didn't sound or feel like a real shot, more like a cork popping.

We once had a shooter in our basic class who managed to get three bullets stuck on top of each other in the barrel of a rental S&W Model 65. I saw "the" squib just inside the forcing cone and figured a quick tap and it's out. I put the brass rod in the muzzle end and it stuck out a whole lot more than it should have...........

We were unable to clear that barrel and it went back to S&W that way. They put a new barrel on it and it went back on the line.
