Staccato C2 w/ Holosun EPS mounting options

So I finally got my Holosun EPS for my Staccato C2 DPO and I mounted it in place of my Holosun 507c on the Dawson Precision mount.

My question is it sure seems to be mounted high. I had to use the supplied Holosun RMR 'plate' sandwiched between the Dawson mount and EPS.

Is there a better/lower way to mount this on the C2 without needing a new front iron sight? I have not been able to find anything online when searching... so figured I'd ask here.

Some pics for reference.

Oldnrusty38 is showing the way.

The EPS is wider than the 407k/EPS Carry models. They will fit on 407k foot prints but over hang the sides. I just got my EPS also. I wanted the rear piece of glass for ease of cleaning debris. The over hang although not as hansom of a solution is a good compromise to window size and a rear piece of glass.

I have a C&H mount for my Glock G40 and Holosun 509t and it's a nice piece... but the 1 Star review for the EPS mount kinda gave me a bit of reserve. I guess there are many happy people using the C&H on their Staccato and EPS? Thanks for your input guys!

C&H is good to go you should be fine mounting the EPS with their plate.
So I reached out and heard back f/ John w/ C&H... he told me my front sight height needed to be 0.230" for it to co-witness w/their mount. Unfortunately my front sight height is 0.285" so it's a no-go as is. I don't even think Staccato has a 0.230" front sight from what I see on their website, but I could be wrong. I know there can be mis-communication from emails and such, but have any of you guys measured your front sight height that you're funning w/the C&H mount?

For all shapes and sizes of sights, Dawson Precision is your friend.

I looked at Dawson's website before I posted above and they offer different sizes for the STI or the Staccato C... which is what I have. The available options for the "C" is not the same cuts as the "STI". Guess I just need to email them at Dawson and I'm sure they can help. I've ordered and installed many of their sights and love Dawson Precision. I just thought I'd ask you guys too and save that step. :) Thanks for the input.
Bear in mind the EPS is a newer RDS, you may have to do some trial and error before you get a perfect fit. Dawson is the right company to do that though they are very end-user friendly.

Drill / tap & direct mount?
Drill / tap & direct mount?
Doable, but that pistol is now married to the K footprint which limits any future optic options.
Yeah I'd rather not drill & tap it given there are already decent options as-is. The current setup isn't bad when using it, but I think I'm always looking for "that much better" option at times.

I don’t know if this helps. I have a C2 with a EPS carry mounted to a Dawson plate. I did not mount the optic plate supplied with the optic. Mounted fine,

sits lower and I can still use the iron sights.

That looks great! Not sure if the Carry and Non-Carry have same mounting holes. I'll look into what plate I'm currently using as it could be a new Dawson plate would solve my issue since I'm not keen on swapping out iron sights just to use the the C&H for this application 🤔
The EPS carry and non-carry do have the same mounting holes.

That's what I gather too. My 3 options from what I've been able to find... 1. Leave as-is and just shoot the sht out of my pistol and new EPS. 2. C&H plate and they offer a 0.230 front sight for my C2. 3. New Dawson Precision Plate for the EPS which will allow the EPS to mount w/out the extra RMR plate.

Thanks for all the input and help everyone, it's much appreciated!!
I did your option 3. The eps uses a 507k mount

I'm strongly considering that option too... that way I don't have to swap out the front dovetailed sight and it gets the EPS down close to the rail (obviously... ha)
The iron sights are very to see with this mount
