I’m not sure what you mean. Why would they use my hard earned tax dollars for guns….. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I know some departments already have Staccatos, but I would not consider it a lot or most…
Where do you think the money comes from?

Do you own a 2011 with $100 mags?
Not currently. I transitioned back to Glock after several seasons with an Artemis and Titan. I used MBX and Atlas mags exclusively at the time.

Atlbut glock mags after basepad to get them to 23 are 50$.

As far as maintaining them, you are absolutely correct, you have to.

Pop them open, run a brush, go back to shooting.

2011 magazine thing is overblown. It's not that bad.
I’d rather not have to baby magazines and service them in between stages at a match…God forbid it’s raining or muddy.

It's true that it is more maintenance than glock mags, but it's not insane.
I think it’s kind of excessive coming from 1911’s and Glocks. As I said above, disassembling mags and servicing them at matches or in between shoots just isn’t worth it to me. Let alone wasting stage prep time to do so if it’s inclement weather or they get muddy. I am more at peace with Glock mags and the literally zero maintenance their magazines require. When it comes to Staccato specifically, I found the P only marginally better shooting than an ammo tuned 17 or 34…so def not worth headache/cost for my use case.

2011 mags aren’t even originally meant for 9mm. It’s one of the reasons I waited until they released the 24C to buy in. How many generations in are we, and you still have to take them apart and clean them or check the feed lips? Meanwhile Glock is like uhhh we made the follower orange instead of black.

I kind of wish I just waited until the HD was released.

Am I the only one who's never had a 2011 mag issue?
Just like you’re the only one who hasn’t shot yourself with your 320… Therefore, if it hasn’t happened to you, it must not be an issue. Oxygen is a real thing…but you haven’t seen it, how do you explain that one?

That’s a rather unattractive gat if real. And staccato design is usually up my alley. Not with this platypus me-too.
how so? it looks exactly like any other Staccato, maybe even better, the only real aesthetic changes are the lack of a grip safety and mag well area, I think it looks great, and this may be my venture back into Staccato after selling my C2 because my g19x radian comp shot noticeably better

The guys that swore this gun wasn't going to take Glock mags are now doubling down on how reliable 2011 mags are.
This is assuming the picture everyone has decided is the real deal is even….. real? Easily can be a AI generated image or someone on a photo editor……

If not the standard 2011 mag or even their new mag I would rather have them use a P320 mag, or cz 75 mags.

The platypus grip angle may be better than Glock but it still ain’t great. And polymer on polymer when dropping mags is annoying at times unless the mag has a heavier weight base pad on it.

As for reliability my atlas mags have been annoying but my g3 staccato ones with TTI pads and followers have been just fine. The mags ( 4 staccato and 2 atlas ) have over 30k through them combined. They have been dropped in mud and gravel at match. Though I would still prefer the guns to take a 320 mag.

everyone is so hung op on this “leaked” image I hope it’s completely different just for the fun of it lol. I won’t be buying one regardless. DS9 in my near future….

Wtf are you talking about? The platypus grip angle is the exact same as a 1911.

I shoot 1911's, 2011's, and Glocks enough that grip angle doesn't really matter to me.

fwiw, not endorsing this, nor have I tested it to be certain its true. But, again fwiw, here is something that I've seen re this issue. Posting because it might be useful or interesting to some.

They are very close, but not "exact". In the hand, they feel more than 1 or 2 degrees different. That said, its a "meh" for me one way or the other. Learn what you shoot and practice and all that make it likely irrelevant which platform you choose. Having all of one's gun on the same platform/angle is another matter that varies by individual and what they have.

We get it, you're afraid of maintenance. You deserve your Glock.
