Staccato HD?

The Staccato HD line is an entirely new family of pistols, designed with feedback from our elite professional end-users. HD pistols remain true to our heritage while being the most technologically-advanced, thoroughly-tested version of the 2011 platform to date. A complete ergonomics overhaul, new optics mounting system, improved recoil system, and active firing pin block provide a combination of durability and shootability only available in the world’s best shooting handgun. Built on the same frame and slide as the P4, the P4.5 HD is built for performance. It’s 4.5-inch sight block design increases barrel length and adds non-reciprocating mass at the muzzle to enhance accuracy and shootability. Utilizing the shorter slide of the P4 maintains a fast cycle speed for increased reliability and a quick, consistent recoil impulse with less muzzle rise.

Just got some 4.5’s at the shop. Swung in to check them out. Mounted an RMR HD on one of them - These guns with the updated safety geometry and stronger safety springs are absolutely awesome. When the hype dies down I’ll get one.

Reached 1,000 rounds with my HD P4 over the weekend. Not a single malfunction using multiple magazine and ammo types (blazer, PMC, hollow points, cheap Turkish stuff I had sitting in the safe). This gun shoots flatter and more accurately than my beloved G45 with the radian combo.

Can’t wait for my holster to come in so I can start carrying it.

I doubt we'll see the XC HD this year. Might be a shot show 2026 deal. We knew about the 4.5's back in october of 2024. Our guys saw them being tested during top dealer only factory tour.

We have had no word or even hint of the XC version at all. Our rep (who is awesome btw) is absolutely swamped and getting his butt kicked tryna work the launch of the 4.5's.

We've literally seen video of Tulsi and her husband shooting them.

Picked up a P4.5 late last week and have shot around 300 rounds so far. I initially had several FTEs and the slide not locking back on an empty mag. It appears to have been ammo-related. These were S&B 124gr and Freedom Munitions 124gr (new, not reman), and they are some of the softest shooting ammo I use. It cycled 124gr American Eagle flawlessly, and once I got past the first 150 rounds, it seems to be cycling the S&B and FM stuff fine. I suspect the weight of the sight block was having an impact on the lighter loads until the gun went through a break-in.

This is my first HD, and I like it overall. I have several Shadow Systems (Glock clone) pistols, and I like the fact that the HD uses Glock mags. The P4.5 recoil is lighter than my Staccato P Heritage and Staccato C full size (no surprise there), and I find the trigger feel to be very close to both of those, but not quite as crisp. My groups were better with the P4.5 on both range trips, so it may become my favorite Staccato.

Picked up my first staccato and so far I’m very impressed. I may have to trade my prodigy for another one if it continues like this. I do have one question however. Those with hd are you noticing wear like this on your guide rod? I’ve got about 200rounds on it and already feeling a small lip where the polished areas are on the ears of the guide rod.
