I'm looking to get a new Staccato. Does anyone have/had a Gen 1 or Gen 2 they can comment to which they prefer?

I am sure you will get a few differing opinions.
The hand stippled grip of the Gen1 feels good in hand, though I actually find the Gen2 grip more comfortable in hand. Just going to be personal preference as far as feel goes.

Have you noticed a difference in shooting between the recoil system and barrel size(4.15 vs 4.45)?

Both manage the recoil very well, and I personally did not feel or notice any significant difference between the two. That said, I did not have them both at the same time to compare.
Someone like @Descartian or @IANative may be able to provide better insight than I.

Sorry, I can't help on this one. Have not shot the 4.45" model, nor any model w/ the Dawson TGR installed.
