Streamlight took a dump

    Battery housing on my Streamlight TLR1-HL took a dump this morning, plastic part cracked through. Let’s see how their customer service responds.

    My guess, they will send you a new one. They have been a stand up company in my experience with them.

    I have one of their small tactical flashlights. Spring broke loose under on off button. Called and had a new end piece free of charge and free shipping

    There awesome. I destroy stream lights all the time. Half the time it’s my fault. Being a mechanic I probably have 2000 dollars in their lights. They break get submerged in fluids. Just a simple call and they mail a replacement. No questions asked. 2 times I had to mail them to them. But most of the time I get a new one mailed out and mail the old one back.

    Best flashlights money can buy!!

    I sent an email to Streamlight on Sunday evening, and received a response on Monday morning to say they were shipping me a new tail / battery door.

    Awesome customer service !

    Just wanted to close the loop on this - Streamlight came through with great customer service.

    I emailed them on Sunday afternoon about the issue, and received a reply on Monday morning - their response was that they were sending me a new tail cap / battery door. The part arrived today, and was a simple drop-in replacement. So as I say, fantastic customer service. It’s like insurance, you don’t want to have to use it, but it’s good to know it’s there when you need it ! I will definitely buy their products again !

    Some follow-on thoughts to this experience :

    - all my holders (except one) are cut / formed for the Streamlight installed. Without it, the holsters are somewhat useless. I’m planning on buying a second TLR so that should one fail, or the model is discontinued, I’m not stuck with a collection of unusable holsters.

    - the one non-weaponlight holster I have is a Sparks Summer Special, because, well, FatbobFrank was selling it and everyone should own one. My challenge was that, as awesome a holster as it is, it doesn’t excel at aiwb. Luckily some window weather-seal strip worked as belt-side “claw” and an inboard wedge... My apologies to Milt’s purists.
