Looking for RH Summer Special style holsters for commander/4.25” 1911’s. I’d like to get something with a sweat shield (ironically) for Summer carry with just a t-shirt.

Top of my list would be a Del Fatti ISP-SS or a 5-Shot IBS :)
Definitely open to any offers or suggestions on this style holster

HIGHLY recommend the Ritchie Stakeout! I have tried several options in this category and this old Alessi design rises above the rest. No idea on his wait time but I am going to call and find out. I bought an older Alessi PCH (4") and Stakeout (5") used and love them so much I am going to order them for my other 1911 configurations.

They do have some in stock at a few distributors...Top Gun and Lighting Arms. I would buy from them but I need ones made for railed guns....

Just got off the phone with Bob Ritchie. He answered several questions I had and was very friendly. They are running about a 5-6 week lead time right now. He also said he is a little late to doing so, but to check back on his website later today or tomorrow as he is going to try to post up some Black Friday promos.

The Stakeout does have a sweat shield BTW. And Bob did confirm that it is substantially different from their RO (rough out http://www.ritchieholsters.com/catalog/p-100015/ro-rough-out), which is more of the SS design with the reinforced mouth. One of the things that makes the Stakeout inferior is the lack of bulk due to no reinforced mouth. It still stays open for reholstering just fine, but it is much slimmer than any other SS-style holster I have tried. The "wings" that make up the body of the holster also aid in driving the frame of the gun in towards the body for a tighter-riding butt. (of the gun :)) And the belt loops are part of the body of the holster, not another attached item to add to the width of the holster.
