Has anyone else been drooling over this
5,350 MSRP for a semi-custom Commander? Nice gun but no drooling here.
well, it is a supergrade
Yes I have been drooling. No I will not pay the extra money for a SG. I would have a full custom built. Just my .02
I wasn't until I saw this, might be the first Wilson that's caught my attention.
Too bad my money tree stopped producing.
Darn the bad luck somebody get this black cat off me.
Since my golden egg laying goose died and spent some time in a pot as soup, I have throttled back on my Wilson Combat purchases. That is however, a very nice 1911.
It’s amazing what nice grips and good photography can do to a price tag.
I thought $3800.00 for the Super Sentinel was steep.........That gun would never lever the safe so here it would be useless.....
Nice Photo though.
The Wilson Commander is a nice gun and I do have a Classic Supergrade in 9mm that I like. However, I have to agree for the price a full custom is the way to go.
Attached is a picture of my Yost 38 Super Combat Commander. It did not cost much more than the asking price of a Supergrade and it is a big step up in my opinion.
You do have the cost of the base gun but I really like the Colt roll marks.
The ability to add things like hard chrome, weld-on magwell, gold line front sight, adjustable rear sight, ball cuts that line up and hand made wood grips is also a plus!
Beautiful gun . But , I've learned I can't afford everything I drool over .
I’m a little confused on this one ,although WC advertises this as a Supergrade , the roll marks on the pistol don’t.
It’s a Commander Special . WTF .
I have several commanders I feel are special and they didn’t cost
5 grand .
I love how Ted puts the BoMar sights on it!
Same here. It would be useless to me, also. Might be a great deal with folks who make shooters out of them, get a few nicks and dings, and normal usage wear, but I know I wouldn't. All of mine are shooters, but even the nicest of them get shot. But none of them cost $5455 either.
Only 5300$ for ball cuts that are cut short. No thanks.
I never quite got the Supergrade. Nice looking gun, too spendy for me.
It's $5500 if you want the ball cuts to line up.
I'm not a big fan of retro style thumb safeties. Then again, these are safe queen guns.
Agreed that safety would have to be changed.
At any price !!
I think the commander has the best balance of all their guns. It’s a fantastic shooter. That being said I don’t think the SG price point is necessary.
