^^ That right there. A supporting member is someone who financially supports the forum with the link above..

Except now the forum is owned by a big company that has bought up a bunch of other forums and makes money from selling advertising space and data so lots of supporting members are questioning why we bother giving the money.

You know if they used the money to pay the mods that help too keep the forum running smooth, I'd be in.
Instead the mods volunteer their time and effort.
Because they, like so many of us love this place also.
It's a no win situation regardless of what you do. Support, don't support.

If you ask me, the best way to support this forum is to contribute quality content. Let the advertising revenue pay for the hosting service.

I was fairly active on a local gun board that was acquired by a big media company. The new owner decided too many things and the majority of the membership left.

Check out Torstar Media and Carbon Media, two anti 2nd Amend. corporations manning the helm of several gun enthusiasts web sites.

Adjust the fit o that microwave redirection headgear and hang on!;)

IMHO, with a minor adjustment to my headspace and timing, it's the long game of the left/media PTB's to control any and all messaging and to collect any and all data available. Regardless of the source material, gun, car, tractor, farm or swapmeet as long as the sites are owned so is the data. In this day and age data is money/power.

And, just to add a little more food for thought, considering that we still have Christmas Banners running in the ad space this is not the dollar generator someone thought it was. I for one have only clicked on one of em, the click bait Mossberg threw up there for their new pistol which IMO looks like the progeny of a drunken blind date with S&W and Taurus.
