I go up to Redmond and have John Larson who is a 1911 specialist gunsmith and pistol smith work on my vintage piece. His business is JPL Precision. He'll go through it and tune it up for ya for around $200 or so.
I acquired a vintage Colt Pre 70 1911
GCNM .45acp mfg in 1966 last year that he went through and took some care of some things. I am quite happy with the results. He has a very solid reputation and is a nice gentleman.
