I have always thought that tanto blades were cool, but the cowboy in me was never to excited to pursue making them. A few weeks ago a member here contacted me about a pair of them, so I did. While they were both insanely sharp and cool knives, I started thinking about using a hollow grind. I have only made one knife so far with a hollow grind and it was one of the first few mini cleavers that I made. Since then my time on the grinder has taught me a lot, so I thought it's time to free hand a hollow grind. In addition to that I also just figured out how to get fuller's, or blood groves, in a blade. So yesterday it all sort of came together and this was the result. No idea on the measurements because I really like to have something in my hand to determine the dimensions for what I plan to use it for. I think that this is a bit to big to be an EDC knife, but it does have all the size needed to be great at about 75 percent of the task a knife is asked to do. Anyway, let me know your thoughts and any places that could be improved.
