Yeah..... It kind of dates your age if you know the words. ^^^^^^^^^

Story line: I talked to my money guy today. (friend & investment manager of 20 yrs) He's an avid muscle car & AR-15 enthusiast who happens to be immersed in an area of unenthusiasts for those things. (Seattle,WA.)
Anyway..... After talking business. It shifted to guns, as usual. His handguns are of the plastic variety. So that means no 1911s.
Since he has done right by Mrs. C. and I over the years. I told him that I would set him on a new path.
Of the 15-16 self-builds I have done. Only 6 + 1 ish remain here.
I offered him his one choice of the 5 shown. All he would have to do is pay for shipping & transfer fees.
The 1 1/2 not shown are Mrs. C's Groot Gun or the unfinished project. (The remaining parts, Slide & MSH arrive tomorrow)

So........ as the song goes....
They all rolled over and one fell out, there were 5 in the bed and the little one said "Roll over, roll over."

FYI: The dog paw is a drying towel for the "lounge lizards, Luna & Gamora"
Mrs. C. told me if I scratched the bar top. It would be the last pic I took.

Very nice thing to do. Will be curious what he picks. I'd be all over that blued one.
I'll take the pistol on the upper right, myself... if I were your money guy, that is!
I assume that blued one Choc Lab refers to is the upper right.
It’s Full size .45 Bobtail frame with aggressive diamond pattern strap & MSH treatment by JEM Guns. NH did the Smoked Nitride finish.

I frequently gift guns to friends and family for a variety of reasons. My nephew received a new Blue Steel Colt Python last year as a wedding gift. Needless to say I’m all my nephews favorite uncle. His eyes lit up when I gave it to him in private, along with his father present, at his rehearsal dinner party. I‘d say I have gifted at least 20 firearms in the last 15 years or so; if you received 1, 3, or more firearms from me- it’s because you earned it in one way or another.

A couple of pair from Bob (@Gripwright ) Cherokee Hills Exotic Grips.
The Skipline checkered ones are from WoodCaliber I believe. A set from Alumagrips.
The Bobtail set is unknown full size that I bobed.

Hmmm. That's funny. The gun closest to the paw, I think I have the same type of grips from the same block of wood, at least it appears that way.

I think you are correct... Some very interesting grain activity in this wood.

He actually settled on one I had in work. I married up and old pitted Colt Commander slide to a new JEM frame & MSH. I had asked Elliott to make me a frame leaving the rails a little extra wide so I could get a good fit to the slide.
My friend said that the guns shown above looked too nice for his use. So I sent the slide to Novaks for sight cuts and put together a no-frills unit. I still used all Harrison's parts as I wanted it to run well for him.
