I realize this might not be in the right forum. A couple years ago I picked up a Star BM customized by Richard Heinie. I’m wondering if anyone knows of someone who would work on mine to refresh it and if possible fix/modify a couple things.

I believe their may be sear issue as in order to put it on safe you have to pull back slightly on the hammer. Also interested in polishing, and refinishing the gun. Not sure if it’d be possible to shorten the slide stop and/or recess the frame.

If anybody has an idea who might take such a project I’d appreciate you letting me know. I want to stay true to Richard’s work but modernize it a bit and give it a durable finish I wouldn’t mind carrying. As it is now it just sits in my gun safe.
