Poor man’s XC “the Turkato” that I tuned the ignition and dropped in a Red Dirt F3 trigger. I have a stippled Staccato grip inbound that I am gonna throw on her next with with an XC mainspring housing internals. Question for the pros, will a Staccato Grip module using the MAC grip safety work/drop-in or will I have to blend a little off the grip?

Everyone who I spoke with that have shot one raves about everything but the grip and the trigger being too heavy. Trigger is fixed, need to know if a Staccato grip module will “drop-in” with no blending.

Interesting I have been considering picking up a backup for my XC or just maybe something to keep some of the mileage off it. I have the XC grip module trigger and everything as I went with a Cheely and red dirt trigger.

So I could put these spare parts I have sitting around into this and with some tuning have a pretty decent pistol? Maybe have something that will give 80% of the XC performance in a pretty inexpensive package.

New grip install. Tisas now sells stippled grips from 2ND Caliber out of Georgia so I went that way as it is basically MAC 9 grip that has been stippled. I went with the medium texture. Love the look and most importantly, the feel. Surefire X300 T-B incoming.

I got the coarse version and am sending it back. It had almost no grip traction to it and my hand couldn't really get s good lock on grip.

I might send out my stock grip for a reduction/stipple instead now.

I’m really enjoying my MAC 9 DS 4.25“ (newer version, no comp) and am thinking about one of these 5” chunk ported models. I was able to get my 4.25” at a very good price which maximized the value compared to other guns, but I’m not seeing many deals on these. Given that I much prefer the Prodigy grip module to the MAC, I’m not sure the math is as favorable on these compared to just buying a Prodigy. Adding a grip gets it within $200 or so of a Prodigy.

Opinions?
