"Some people like to go out dancing
And others have to work, just watch me now
And there's even some evil Mother's
Well they'll tell you everything is just dirt
You know that women never really faint
And that villains always blink their eyes, whoo!
And that children are the only ones who blush
And life is just to die
But anyone who ever had a heart
Oh, they wouldn't turn around and break it
And anyone who ever played a part
Oh, they wouldn't turn around and hate it"
"Sweet Jane"-Lou Reed/VU
My plan was to go on endlessly about nonsense, you know, like a normal Tuesday morning, but I accidentally posted my photos without all the BS! My Remington bronzes are cleaned and on the shelf. Chicken Little is proud of her new bedroom and she has been getting more familiar with fancy 9mm's. She's ready to shoot them on her own but we'll take it slow.
My parents collection of Edward S. Curtis photos was unboxed. They were on the wall of my childhood home from my birth in '78 until my family left that house. They were wrapped in newspaper from November, 1998. They are well over 50 years old and probably closer to 100, but I don't really know. I never "forgot" about them, but I had just turned 20 when they were boxed up and I am 47 now. It's been a while and it is strange to see them. I found my CD copy of The Velvet Underground & Nico. That record will be 60 next year and it is still as solid as a rock.
I suppose I'll save the rambling for next time. It's already been an interesting morning and it's 8:45. What will tomorrow bring? I don't know, but it will be wonderful.
