Educate me. Who built them and what is truly unique about them. I am in my infancy.

Honestly I am so new to it that I can't really make all the decisions for a full custom. So I am buying guns that I know are very well made with a great combination of parts. I did race cars and bikes and know enough that everything has to compliment each other to really work well. I can't make all those decisions yet. I know if I asked you guys each of you has your own preferences. So as I learn I will get more into full customs. So for now I will have to live with semi customs. I would love to buy that Glock from Lou, but the timing isn't right.

Work your way up in steps, every gun has its own persona.
Gives you a chance to explore and learn what feels right to you.
That way when you go for a full custom you know exactly what you want.
In the meantime, read up on the guys that star in the gunsmith section.
All our guys on Addicts are top-notch craftsmen, and give out great advice as well!!
And as hard as we try I think they still believe there's no such thing as a stupid question!!! ;)

The wait is a killer. I thought it was bad when I was into NFA items. Waiting on builds seems far more challenging.

My custom Dan Wesson was ordered in December and it feels like it has been forever. I am now trying to decide what I want to wait on next.

Its always like a kid at X-mass. The wait the anticipation is always there. But once you have one or two or more customs the wait is less bothersome since you have those to examine play with and shoot. Want a real wait to put it all in perspective. 5yrs to get a call on an Stan Chen, and then the build process begins. Maybe some day!

"the waiting is the hardest part" Tom petty is right!

I just ordered the Wilson edc x( and was told (due to the long line in front of me and the need for 10 round magazines) the wait will be 6-7 months. It will test my patience but I am SURE it will be worth it

most WC,NHC builds these days are 10-12 weeks

It is probably ready. They are probably just testing it with a variety of current ammunition. :)
