The NFL players and owners are a bunch of low life bastards with no moral compass.
I enjoy watching sports as well as anyone but can not condone watching the NFL or supporting advertisers low enough to buy time on networks broadcasting their disgraceful behavior.
Before you ask , yes that’s how I really feel !

Is it just me, or does there seem to be a common denominator running throughout this thread...?

Funny, I'd have thought the Raiders would have been a much higher number...

Bear in mind, that is not the number of felons on a team but the number of players arrested while playing for that team is my read on it. Therefore, since Lynch is now on the Raiders, the number of felons went up by one (Lynch) minus whoever has left the team.

Pretty disgusting that these **** heads view themselves as role models. Sadly, perhaps for some, they are role models.

No, this is not the NFL for you; this is a list of some of the worst offenses from current players. If anyone cared to see the other side of things, I can show you NFL players who visit children's hospitals EVERY off day during the season, donated entire game checks to Houston hurricane recovery, build schools in their hometowns, and on and on. But much like defensive gun usage, most people don't want to hear about that.

There are over 1,700 players throughout the league each season. With any number that large, there are going to be both wonderful people and complete scumbags. But compared to American adult men who aren't professional athletes, they don't compare too poorly:

Yep I agree with ya Buddy. I still watch the games as I have always loved football, but try to keep up with the idiots who take a knee and hope they sustain a terrible injury.

I played HS and college football and I remember my pro roll model / heroes. My son played HS
and college football and we both remember his roll model/heroes (besides me).
My grandson is now playing HS football and I have a very difficult time talking to him about
    role models.

I was a 3rd generation player myself. My favorite player as a kid was Steve Largent. He went on to become a republican Senator for Oklahoma, and and as far as I know has had no controversy in his life. My buddy down the steet's favorite player was OJ Simpson; I still rib him about that.
As for your grandson, what's his team? There are a few guys on every team you could be proud he looks up to. Or it it's a matter of his playing position, that would be even easier.
