I’m a ICU RN, but have an extensive electrical design engineering background and love to take apart everything I own to see how it works; I might have a couple millionn dollar ideas for small parts for the ar15-10 rifle platform, just need some investors

Red dot is on the mount. Is that a bolt on light rail toward the muzzle or is it integral to the upper? Let me know how you like the nitrided BCG. Are you going to try a binary? I am thinking of one for mine.

Give a fella a break (I know we like to bust ones balls and it totally made me laugh. Another “excuse” is it was my first actual pistol ar build and I literally going on no sleep, flipping flying detenta & springs had me in a sheer madness state & “on a mission” to finish no matter how long it was gunna take. But I am actually selling the sights and put something cool in place of it!! Appreciate the comment

But the Bolt that came with THE KIT AND IT is a super nice NICKEL BORON FINISH THAT IT BLEW ME AWAY OF HOW NICE IT IS; it’s very robust and believe it’s a full-auto bolt and super quality parts ( for any idiots that might say you can’t have a full auto rifle) I’m just referring to the bolt, I’m not an expert but believe more steel on the bolt is the full auto version and a longer relief cut is a standard or what ever u want to call it. Yes I want a binary trigger for sure but I need to do more research first. But the trigger that also came with the kit is also NICKEL BORON coated and is smooth and crisp. I can’t call it a mil spec but more of a enhanced mil spec!

Ain't it fun? Nice build. I now have (I think) 4 SBA3s. The 4th awaiting completion (parts) for build. On one of my pistols, I too went Holosun (reflex) with this lefty build. I have another pistol (my first with junk optic*) that I'm considering installing the Bushnell Lil P. My 3rd pistol is based on an A2 with FSB. The 4th will be with detachable carry handle and FSB. It too is a lefty. I have 2 or 3 Holosuns and really like them. Regarding the SBA3 for those unfamiliar; you can "tuck" the end inward,, adjust the strap, and this results in not having so much "hang-down". When I readjust the strap, I do so in a manner where the folded over end of the strap tucks neatly into the top plastic loop.

I meant to ask "bolt on light rail" on the guard? I will probably go with a NB BCG to go with a Fostex binary. They are a bit spendy....but what fun!!!

Nice ... Yeah I want the flat face binary from I believe also from fostech. I actually want another; I’m really digging the F4 and the Springfield Armory Saint Edge which has all your upgraded bells & whistles. I want me a piston version also. I had a Lewis Machine & Tool CQB DEFENDER 16 inch ar but my dumba** sold it. I actually prefer over DI but that is just imho. I own also a X95 Tavor which is piston and it don’t shoot all that junk into the bolt area and runs cleaner with not having to clean it. But this Build was my first DI and am looking forward in shooting it. I’m about to start a 13 week contract so I can start affording my deadly addiction that was on the back burner for my custom knife addiction.... yeah have that addictive personality I guess!

No bolt. I did us a mlok piece of rail in FDE but I am acually am going to sell the Holosun since I would like the more open face of the 510C with green multi reticle. How do I like yours?

I don't know if I responded appropriately but the top rail slim mlok rail has a integrated pic rail along the top and I added the fde pic to the mlok slot which im not sure if im a fan of but I do like how it has a little 4 inch rail that is beautifully contoured into the rail. I do need some nice rail covers, something thats not going to pop off and is heat resistant, I like Knights Armament's along with LWRC's and ERGO's rails, Ergo's seem to just pop into the mlok slots the others I imagine will be mlok. I just need enough for my forward grip near the muzzle and probably a Strike Industried angled forgrip or magPul's system. I am definitely want to change out this shroud which all it is is direct the blast towards whatever your shooting but I would like a nice surefire and then a shroud that has your quick detach system so I can take it off but really want to get into silencer's because it would look sweet and it would be nice to have a nice can to tame what probably is a flame thrower that sounds like a cannon. Any how, I do want the echo trigger but this PSA trigger that is is NiB coated is actually quite the nice enhanced mil spec with a nice 4-5lbs crisp break almost zero take-up with a super nice reset with audible and tactile feel. if im going to go high-end it will be either AR Gold or Giesslie SSA-E or Velocity. So many options, what to do??? Im swapping out the red dot out for the more open face 510c with a green reticle. I guess the green color actually takes less power from the small battery increasing life of the battery and the green is easy on the eyes, just personal prefrence. I was reading an article on the 7.62x39 in the AR platform... Its made me definitely want one. I guess the PSA's KS-47 is quite host for the round in a AR platform which can shoot 1.5moa... All I know is ive caught the bug.

So I really f**k*d up yesterday. After getting a piece of equipment that will set-off my build. Well, sh*t didn’t go as planned. So I’ve done this before without a hairline scratch but this particular castlenut was from hell... I actually tapped the notches prior to using it using my torque wrench to tighten her down to 40 lbs/inch an the mother *#€#£~~£~£~!}*}¥£~!~•|¥ slipped and shredded the whole diameter, I attemptemted it once more enduring the notches were in line with the slots and rrrrriiiiiippppp again as the aluminum Chips were flying about. For one I didn’t realize this had a proprietary buffertube so it’s nit like I can just get another (at least I don’t think) but it did state it’s propriatary to this particular brace; I sent an email to the retailer asking if I could exchange for a new one or if there is anything they can do to help me out since I spend lots of money on their website so we will see. Though on a positive note; once this is remedied the pistol is unrecognizable from the previous pics. Stay tuned...... oh, for any guru’s please leave castle nut tightening tips. I was considering getting the same brace but u can use any standard milspec buffer tube and carbine buffer/spring. So I want to get the ratcheting castle nut, seems easier or hell why not make the castle nut so a hex wrench could do the job, ugh!

Looks like the wheeler was unable to get a proper purchase on the nut.
I'd try a different armorer's tool.

Added a couple more do-dads gotta a new buffer tube which when on witheven more care taken, has a few light scratches but when completely finished i would like to durakote or cerakote; or literally DIY SPRAY PAINT CAMMO JOB. Love the new holosun 510C-GR COMPARED TO MY SCOPE SET-UP; besides I’d like to keep the weight down; I believe I’m going to add a enhanced bolt catch/release in a bronze I’d fde color along with strikes Ind. ambi safety selector in red along with a elf , velocity 2.5-3lbs single stage trigger with the a flat red trigger shoe ( the only 2 red accents) change the gas block to a Odin Works adjustable low profile gas block; take the muzzle blaster off, add a surefire warcomp or the old school 556 comp/flash hider that I’ve always loved or a VG6 or something functional & able to quick detach a can on & off and change the rail with some sweet - a** 10” rail (prolly geissle) so I can also free float my barrel. I do want a Inforce 800 lumen light on the left and thro the CT laser on the right or bottom towards the front; I really do like the idea of giving it a down and dirty diy half-a**ed multi-camo (Black,brown,light brown, White, green) paint job over everything (even the holosun, the flip up sights (I do wan some diamonds with a tritium front or magpul pros, (though these basic magpuls work just fine). I’ll take off anything I don’t want painted like only the two red accents as that will be a wrap). Cool thing about the classic ar is I’m going to have several uppers for whatever I’m doing with it that day .

I also might have bought a Springfield Armory Edge Pistol Just recently in 556; I’m gunna a need me a piston upper as well.... very addicting
