Back when late night TV shows were funny (unlike what passes for today’s Leftest propaganda). Ed McMahon, a retired USMC Colonel (WWII & Korean War vet) apparently feeling “no pain” as Johnny Carson’s sidekick in this particular clip.

I really envy the WWII generation. They would sit up & watch comedians who were funny. Then go off to bed happy.
    How the times have changed.
    SUCKS!

That's when TV was worth staying up to watch.

    Now it's . . . . . .

Funny stuff. I was watching old reruns of Carson and Dean Martin's Celebrity Roast shows on youtube the other day. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the shows and how funny they were, and they were funny without profanity. Another interesting thing about the Hollywood stars of yore were how many of the leading men were veterans and how patriotic they were.

Yeah, Col. McMahon had apparently had a pretty serious “liquid lunch” that day! (as we used to say).

Yep, I’ve posted several little synopsis of Hollywood leading men who weren’t just “stars” but were veterans - many, ‘combat vets’.

Jimmy Stewart, Lee Marvin (Purple Heart,Saipan), James Arness (Bronze Star/Purple Heart, Battle of Anzio), Paul Newman, many, many more... and the Korean War produced even more. Pretty different from today!

An even greater reason to be proud of our Movie Hero's. God bless them each & every one of them. They stepped forward to help
keep America Free. Don't think about it.jpg

Test patterns and static are bad, but no matter what you do never ever turn that freaking thing on during the day. Holy cow! You’ll have to drink heavy to get through that load of BS!
