I’ve owned 2 NHC, a Talon II and a Heine PDP ( I think was the name). It was the only custom .45 I shot that felt truly different. I’m into 2011’s now so Atlas is my go to , but NHC makes great guns. Not just show toys. And their craftsmanship is top notch.

My LGS carry’s NHC guns and when you look at the gun RDS ready, you can’t even see the seam in the frame. It’s crazy clean.

Since the only one I’ve handled is my Falcon, I’m going to go with that. It is outstanding!

Mighty nice Hawk.
A worthy gun for some of @Gripwright beauties.

First time I saw a Falcon was on here. It had some features that really appealed to me.

Placed my order for a Falcon and waited it out....somewhat patiently.
It was well worth the wait.

The funny thing is that the Falcon was my second Nighthawk ordered, but the first to arrive.

The TRS-Comp took a while to complete.

It's been a damn solid shooter, too.

Just my $.02

I have over 24k rounds through my Sandhawk and have been shooting with success in USPSA open minor division. Truly love the gun, I trust it, it operates exceptionally well and I’ve yet to experience a problem… but there are a few minor criticisms:

• The finish is not as durable as a DLC or anodized coating. Not the end of the world, you don’t need to baby it, but a holster will start to rub it off.

• Competition magazines (Atlas & MBX) will make contact with the feed ramp and cause erosion on the corner over time. I haven’t had any feeding issues, but it is certainly noticeable to the naked eye. NH recommends having the feedramp profiled/shortened slightly to remedy.

• The grip safety functions perfectly. So much so that during aggressive fire if your grip shifts you’ll get what looks like hammer follow. You can ask NH to pin it for you if you want or use a ranger band.

• The recommended service schedule of the recoil spring is 1,500rds. Again, it’s a $7 wear item on a $6k pistol - it costs me more in gas to get back/forth to the range than a spring does… but it’s worth noting that other builders have figured out a longer service life.

• The mag release button is on the smaller side and there aren’t additional options to leverage from the custom shop. Takes a little extra training to get quick with. Others have a wider range of options or at least drill/tap for a extended button.

Gorgeous pistol and impressive round count on it, keep crushing it!

My only Nighthawk is the Combat special.
I really enjoy the features and of course the fit and finish. My only hang up is that it’s someone else’s gun, obviously Clint’s but it’s kinda a hang up for me that im trying to connect with.

In 45acp, i don’t think the Nighthawk Predator gets enough love. I’ve shot one before and it was great. I’d like a double stack 9mm so I’d pick the Sandhawk, and I’d probably pick 2 carry 1911’s one in 9mm and 45acp, as well as 1 10mm 1911. So add on a Commander Agent in 45 and a Counselor in 9mm, and a Firehawk in 10mm.

Last part first
Do they hold up performance wise - yes no doubt , I have a NH GRP 9mm that has over 30k rounds and it just keeps ticking . I replace the recoil spring and adjust extractor every 10k and it has never had a hiccup. Just completed a class that we shot 700 rounds or so in a day and it was hot and filthy - not one malfunction.
I trust my life to NH , they make beautiful firearms , they have the best customer service in the business and they are like minded patriotic Americans and I feel good about spending money with them . I have quite a few Hawks in the stable with a couple builds on the way .

My favorite models :
Treasurer
Falcon
Counselor
Warhawk
T3
T4

I didnt list the GRP or Trooper because I view them as more of a starting point to build a gun off of currently I have a custom Trooper on order with hand stippled slide etc . The only negatives I find about NH is the lead time . I would rather wait for a well built pistol than get a sloppy gun fast .
Good luck 👍 View attachment 1596508
What do you see as the differences between the t4 and the Warhawk?

My Warhawk (Costa compact ) CCO has a 4.25” barrel and course front cocking serrations. Nice falcon magwell and my preferred red fiber front sight .
I had to add a one piece magwell to my T4 ,it has bull barrel and different front slide cuts .
Really cant complain about adding the magwell because NH will do just about anything you want, I bought my T4 used .
Either pistol rotates in my carry lineup . I liked the Warhawk so much I ordered a commander to my specs based on that model and I love it .
Cant go wrong either way I just really like the styling of the Warhawk

NHC makes great handguns, and if you want a great beautiful handgun they are a great option. If you want a competition handgun, Atlas is the king IMHO of semi custom 2011 competition guns. They are built for competition.

Nighthawk make a more beautiful gun that is very well made and functional.

YMMV
