Hey guys,
I asked STI this question via email over a month ago and never received an answer. BTW, second unanswered CS email question from STI.

I’m a bit OCD, and I bought a torque wrench, so I’d like to get it right. I have a tendency to over tighten and snap things. Especially, PVC plumbing! I did watch a YT video and if I recall they said “hand tighten” the optic plate whatever that means. If I recall Trijicon recommends 15 - 18 in lbs for the RMR, but I will confirm. Thanks in advance.

I remembered incorrectly, got this from Trijicon customer service;

“We recommend using 12 INCH Pounds of torque when installying an RMR to the mount. Medium grade or blue Loctite or equivalent is also ok, but please do not use the permanent or red. Many of our screws come pre-applied with a little bit of a medium-grade nylock patch.”
