Today is my mom's birthday. I am a wreck and could use any positive vibes or prayers you can send. For those of you that don't know, this is her first birthday since losing a 5 month battle with pancreatic cancer Jan 21. We were extremely close and she is the person that got me into shooting. I am sure my dad and 2 sisters are feeling the loss as much as I am today so please keep our family in your prayers to get us through this difficult day. Thanks all.

Chin up Hokie. Your mother was a great person and I know this won't help but some guys have horrible mothers. You got to enjoy a good one (albeit cut short). I lost my father when he was 52. They will live on because we have great stories to tell. She will never be completely gone as long as you are around to tell them. Sorry ain't much but not good at this stuff.

I feel you pain brother. I lost my mom December 11 1999. Their's not a day that goes by that I don't think about her.
Although she's no longer with you, theirs nothing that can take away her memory.

Paul, just think, she's not in any more pain. And remember, to take it one day at a time!

    Good thoughts your way.

I'm very sorry to hear. I'm very close with my mother, too - I can't imagine losing her.

Any day in rememberance of her is a good day. It's alright to remember, it's all we have left from a lifetime of experiences with them, in a way it's the way we honor them. Nothing greater than to honor your father and mother, I'm sure that she is smiling down on you, love is such a strong bond, passing in this world would not hardly change that bond, it remains eternal..always

Place fresh flowers on the table to brighten your home in her honor. You've honored her here like a good and loving son. Share happy memories with your Dad and sisters. Take care and God bless you.
