First time, tried Brown mag trade-in program. Sent in old Tripp mags for Brown 7 rounders. Sent on a Monday, received new mags the following Monday, kinda like that program.

I’m not really familiar with the EB trade in program, so I’m going to research how it works. Thanks for the heads up.

I had thought about doing this too but I don’t really want to send my Wilson mags in and pay more just for their mags.

I agree. I wouldn’t send in Wilson mags, but I’ve got several older no name mags that need “upgrading”. This seems like an affordable way to do it. I just printed off the form.

I've used the program and sent in junk including mags with base plates broken. Probably have 12-15 EB mags from the trade ins and they have all done well for me.

The 7rd ed brown mags i got from the trade-in program gave me issues with inertia feeds. Granted, this was a year or two ago so they could have gotten the kinks worked out but YMMV. I hope they work well for you though and I think it's a smart option for junk no-name mags.

Yep true, all my Dan Wesson mags (9s & 45s) say DW on the side but stamped Checkmate on the bottom. Nice mags.

First two production runs of Checkmate 1911 magazines were disastrous. They had to send someone out from Aberdeen to find the problem. But that was in the 70s. I got to test some M14 mags for a Federal Agency 7 years ago and they held up better to the classic military tests than USGI M14 Mags. Only complaint is they a tiny bit shorter.
