Has anybody purchased the new RMR. If so, what are your thoughts on it. Does it beat the SRO by a long shot?

I only have one experience with Bereli so take this for what it's worth. I ordered a few boxes of Federal HST ammo from them. Everything processed fine. Sometime later I received an email stating that the ammo wasn't in stock. They refunded my money. A couple of weeks later the ammo showed up at my door. I contacted them and they had to send me a new transaction so I could pay for the ammo. In the end, I got my ammo, but it was kind of a hokey situation.

We have a couple of 3.25 and 1 MOA RMR HD's in stock. DM me if you're interested for addicts pricing!

As far as how the RMR HD is, I think it's great for duty use. I used it for low light training awhile ago and the new photo-sensor on the front of it is amazing when using a weapon light. Trijicon used Aaron Cowen from Sage Dynamics idea of putting a line at the top/center of the housing to be able to use as a point of aim if the emitter went down. I've taken 2 Sage Dynamics classes using this and it's pretty effective out to 10 yds.

For competition / range only gun, I still think SRO is king. The round housing on the SRO draws my eyes into the center of the optic. I've also been using an SRO since they were announced back in NRA show in 2019. I have close to 50k rounds on SRO's.

Did Trij increase the MSRP on these again? I'm now seeing some places give them a list price of over $1k, which feels like a new level of stupidity.

I just bought 4 (all the stock they had) RMRHD's with 3.25 moa reticle from a well known retailer for $580, no tax to my state and free shipping. Point being there are deals out there if you have the time to surf and look for cyber monday and BF deals.

Oh, one deal that is still in stock that I also got one optic this morning is the RCR for $577 no tax to my state and free shipping from Atlas using their 15% off parts if anyone wants an RCR.

have 3HD on guns now..my favorite optic. 1 RCR, SRO and still an RMR..

but I'm really interested in that new Primary Arms enclosed optic that's pending release because it's 100% made in the USA, with the exception of the LED crystals.. you can get them from China or Germany, they went with Germany FTW.. i don't need another enclosed for rain and snow days but may move the RCR and pick one up.

Nice. Do they have a price on it?

I am primarily a Holosun man. I have EPS, 509T, 507C, 407k. Now an RMR HD 3.25. It sure is a clear and crisp reticle. It took a minute to set up the way I like it. When shooting I do not comprehend the auto adjust of the reticle. I can inside the house see it when passed in front of a window on a bright day. I like the feature. I've installed on 2 different pistols just seeing how I like it on a Commander vs. Government. Always testing right now.

I have an RMR Type 2, I love it. More than good enough for my needs
I haven’t upgraded to the HD… yet. The bigger window, top loaded battery, and IMO most importantly the front facing light sensor are really nice upgrades, but I don’t need them enough to spend $700 on one when I got my current RMR for under $300 BNIB.
If you have a holosun or other entry to mid level optic and have the coin for the RMR HD, I think it’s worth it. As a current RMR owner I’m waiting for prices to start dropping

My RMR HD was eating batteries like a fat kid in a candy store. They would range from lasting 6-9 days on a range of different batteries. Contacted CS (They were wonderful by the way) and they sent me a label and I RMA'd it. Roughly 2 weeks went by and I received an email stating they were replacing the whole unit. I've been running this new one for 15 days exactly and it died on me this evening. Tried all my buttons and nothing, so I replaced the battery a few minutes ago. Heres to hoping this isn't a trend because this optic is hands down the best with my astigmatism. I'll try to keep updating if anyone has any questions.

I've had to replace the batteries in 2 of three here in the HD, including the one I purchased retail.. also replaced the RCR, at the same time, worried I got a bad batch.

it could be a battery issue, in some cases but yep, that sounds off. ;D

i used name brand to replace and did the rest on my birthday and will do so next year..

Good to know it could be a problem and also probably good to check if working, regularly, until sorted.

I recently put an HD and a RCR on two guns. I like them both. The HD I can really acquire the reticle and dot very quickly but I find it a bit busy. I was surprised to find I preferred the RCR but not by a lot. Both seem really excellent. Holsters for the hd are a little tough. I committed sins with a razor blade
On a VM2 optic cut to get it a little more space for the HD.

Just an FYI, ( maybe it's been covered) I called Trijicon and they advised me that Duracell is putting a coating so kids dont eat their batteries. The said change to energizer and put a touch of lube on the washer for the closing screw. All my issues went away, so anybody having intermittent issues with their RDS, make sure you use Energizer or just wash the taste test off the battery.

My issues went away.
