Family has deep roots in Arizona (and that land before they called it Arizona). Growing up I'd spend weekends working my dad's tables at gun shows. By that time my favorite pistol was a 1911, which my dad would let me end a range session by helping me grip his Colt and let one or two rounds off. As an adult it took awhile to catch the addiction again. The kids/family ate most of the money and I only had a couple Sigs and my first pistol, an LW OACP my dad gave me when I moved out at 18 (still runs like a sewing machine). Anyway, a few years back I ask my dad if he ever ran into Ted Yost in the old gunshow days. He says, "Oh yeah, you've met him a handful of times as well. His stuff was expensive so I never paid attention to what he made." (We were working class.) Since giving in to my addiction several years ago, I've dreamed of getting a Yost. Fast forward to this forum a few months ago. Picked up a Gunsite Yost CCO from a great forum member after putting out a WTB. During my search I also came across what looked like a Gunsite Yost Commander online and took a shot on it. Long way around the barn to say I haven't put too many rounds through either of these — couple boxes each — but I'm taking them out tomorrow for an afternoon of fun and thought I'd share a couple photos. Quick snaps, so you'll have to forgive the crummy shots/light.
