A Colt Gold Cup blinged up for the season. New checkering on the front strap and trigger guard at 25 LPI to match the "bobtailed" MSH. A custom grip safety. The trigger group is all Wilson. The barrel was refit and an EGW bushing added and the barrel was deep crowned. A set of Carbon Creation slim grips. The trigger was custom made from a square EGW blank. The front sight is also EGW set in a dovetail. The project was finished with a high polish hard chrome on all the flats and a soft bead finish on the rounds. Shoots as pretty as it looks.

Wow...nice work. You don't see many polished HC. Dig the crown/bushing.

That is a GORGEOUS Gold Cup. May be the prettiest I have ever seen. I'll bet she's stunning in person.

I really like the way you done the rear sights. They are inlaid into the back of the slide unlike they usually are where they are merely mounted on top of the slide.

Also I really like the grip safety. I am trying to figure out how to get that look and style for my Colt NRM. I want that look except maybe with a little higher profile on the "bill" of the safety to get a higher grip hold. I don't know what grip safety to get to start with and I don't know that I could do it anyway the way I want it to look. Would you mind telling what you started with?

My Colt has the stock safety on it now and I have been contemplating trying to fit a tail to it on my own. Kinda scary. Are you a gunsmith? I tried to send you a message but your privacy settings prevented it. If you would rather talk to me about the safety and what to start with in private, message me. I'd like to "talk" to you about your work and what you would charge to put a grip safety on mine like the one you have on this project.

Thanks for posting it. I really enjoyed seeing this piece of ART!
