I was thinking of selling mine, with the goal of upgrading. However, I think I’m gonna hold onto mine.

Glad I got my 2, don't plan on them going anywhere.

My theory is that DW is now focused on the CCW, tactical, and competition markets. Their old business model of creating high quality, low cost, Ed Brown like 1911's is dead.

I'm glad I have my Valor. That one isn't going anywhere. Hard to believe they don't sell enough of them to keep it in the lineup.

It’s not good news for “us” unless they have a pistol that is just as good in the same price range with an equivalent design. I may semi-retire my V-Bob.

I have a C-bob that is excellent. My Specialist is phenomenal also. They have many good models still in the lineup

So you all don’t think they have something up their sleeve to replace it? I think they are gonna come out with an updated version with front serrations and a new name.

I wish they had more carbon steel models.

Just sold my FS SS to a client for a build sure wish I had held on to it. Maybe in the near future I can afford another to customize for myself. I still have a V-bob not sure it will be going anywhere in the near future.

I'm afraid I tend to agree. It's a shame, too, because to my mind the Valor is just the top-shelf production model for classic 1911 styling. I can't think of another comparable gun.

Not the best picture, but still one heck of a pistol. What's not to like? View attachment 208169

I agree. I love the understated styling. It’s says to me, the good stuff is under the hood. Here is a shot of my valor. I think we have almost the same grips.

That's a nice-looking gun and somewhat close on the grips. We both look to have VZs anyway. Looks like you have the Aliens. I have a set of those in black on another gun, maybe my favorite VZ style for looks alone. My Valor has the Operators II in Predator Green. I prefer the Ops II for a carry gun and this used to be my EDC a few years ago.

Keith told me there are no plans for an immediate replacement, though they may introduce something down the line with similar features.

He also said it wouldn’t be out of the question for the Valor to return someday.

Thanks. I like those grips on yours as well. I didn’t like the thin grips. Also chose those blue screws for some contrast.

That would be terrible. Other than needing std size grips the Valor was perfect.
FCS look terrible, though both my Baer's have them. Only thing worse looking is that stupid Hi Power cut.
If anything, DW dropped the Valor because of cost. That pistol was a lot of gun for the money.
MSRP of something like $2,100 and retailed for around $1,600-1,700, probably just didn't give DW much profit.
The only gun that interests me that DW makes is the specialist now that the Valor is gone.
If DW would give the specialist the checkering of the Valor, it would be spot on.
