Many thanks to forum members TheCollector, for making the introduction, and Xringchaser, for providing just what I was searching for.
I had been on a quest for the perfect old Python. Everything I was seeing either had too many warts, or was being offered by unrealistic owners.

After a brief introduction, Xringchaser filled the prescription with “just what the doctor ordered”, and it was in my hands in 48 hours. I can’t gush enough praise over the perfect transaction.

1978 4” Python….. practically new in the box. It’s stunning in the photos but even more lovely in person.

Oh, and btw….. “Yes, I am going to shoot it!”

That’s why I bought one that has more life left in it, than I do in me. ;)

Awesome. While I’ve never had the pleasure of doing business with the Collector, I know of his greatness. I have done deals with Xringchaser and he is a top shelf addict and one I’m happy to call a friend here.
Nice looking python. Shoot and enjoy it in good health.

Congratulations on getting this beautiful gun. I know you will enjoy shooting it! There is something special about the older Python in both looks and function.

The trigger on my birthday year Python is better than many of my modern custom guns. I rarely shoot it and when I do, it is always enjoyable. I wonder how you will feel shooting it for the first time.

Colt archive offers an authentication service for your serial number; a nice letter showing when and where it was shipped from the factory for sale. It’s a nice touch that tells its story. A sort of immortal legacy from a world and culture that no longer exist

classy guys you are hanging around and any revolver guy has to own a Python, plain and simple
I haven't had a classic Python since I sold the stainless 4" I bought new in the mid-90's. Shouldn't have sold it, but who new they'd be discontinued by the end of the decade? Congrats to the OP -- she's gorgeous!!

Happy Python!
You can’t go wrong dealing with either @Xringchaser or @TheCollector.
Both are top shelf Addicts and great friends.
