VZ grips will not fit flush to frame, can see light between grips/frame with hex drive bushings. Seems a little off that even Wilson vz grips will not fit.

I really like the idea of hex drive bushings, but none of my other grips fit flush.

Anybody run into this before?

Standard sized grips.

Thanks for the info and link.
That is weird......I have standard VZ ETC Frags on all my 1911's with standard bushings and they are tight as a drum against the frame.

I have had issues with slim bushings and slim grips when I had them, in that case, I just went with extra slims.

Sorry I could not be of more help!

I have Challis bushings and O-rings on every one of my 1911's. I did have one issue of a cracked grip (I suspect the grip). Challis wrote specifically that their bushings are to exact standards. Are you using both bushing and grip rubber O-rings as recommended? Something I have noticed when installing VZ's on Challis bushings is they do have a small gap with normal torque. But every time the rings settled into place and I was able to tighten the grips down flush.
